CREATING A UNIQUE ENGINEERING TEAM AND CULTURE

The Type of Engineers We Look For

We look for more than just talented engineers, we look for talented design engineers. Design engineers have the right balance of curiosity, hands-on experience, education, problem-solving skills, design aptitude, and teamwork skills. Design engineers are people who incorporate their engineering skills into their hobbies and lifestyle (Team and Culture posts). Our hiring process focuses on both technical capability and personality characteristics. Identifying the ideal candidates makes for slow hiring, but the result is an unusually capable and cohesive team.

NOVO’s Reputation in the Industry

Our engineering team has gained a reputation for technical excellence and “pull-out-the-stops” client support. This reputation draws both new clients and other talented designers and problem solvers to NOVO. Careful selection of employees has produced an atmosphere that is simultaneously relaxed and high-performing. NOVO engineers are generous with their time and knowledge and quick to celebrate each other’s successes. If you are a job seeker, and the idea of working on next-generation medical, biotech, or printing system products with co-workers you can respect and learn from appeals to you, please visit our jobs page.

Doing Great Work and Having Fun Doing it

We are serious about doing is meaningful work that is challenging and fulfilling. An integral part of that is enjoying our interactions with colleagues and clients. We know that our culture is healthy when we are meeting client expectations, feeling proud of our contributions, and enjoying ourselves in the process. Out of an abundance of camaraderie and mutual respect, a wide variety of extracurricular activities and traditions at NOVO have developed spontaneously. Some examples include barbecues on the patio, holiday parties, beach parties, chili cookoff’s, Wednesday soccer matches, surf trips, mountain biking, camping, road biking, mountain biking, motorcycle trips, and the list goes on. All normal activities, but a good sign when the staff chooses to enjoy them with their work colleagues…
