Congratulations are due to NuVasive for reaching several milestones in the process of commercializing their Pulse integrated technology platform. They received CE mark approval in June of 2021. In September of 2021, they announced that the first commercial cases using the Pulse platform were conducted in Ohio and Texas. Among the enthusiastic comments made by the lead surgeons in each case were, “this technology is a game changer for spine surgery,” and “It was incredible to see the improvements in in accuracy and efficiency throughout the procedure.”
The platform integrates radiation reduction, imaging enhancement, rod bending, navigation, interoperative neuromonitoring, and spinal alignment tools into a single platform. The comprehensive scope of this technology is testimony to Nuvasive’s ability to envision the future of spine surgery.
The pulse platform is applicable to an extensive list of spine procedures according to their sales brochure. The brochure also explains how these technology advances benefit patients and the members of the surgical team.
NOVO has provided hardware and software development support for NuVasive for over a decade, and to the Pulse platform since its inception. We are delighted for NuVasive and proud to be associated with this project.
