Custom electronics, driven by specific application requirements, may be fully analog or designed around microprocessors or microcontrollers, often working in tandem with an FPGA. Industrial applications are designed around OTS, DIN-rail-mount components communicating via industry-standard bus architectures. The design team routinely incorporates analog and digital sensor inputs, multiple touch-enabled display technologies, and control outputs for actuators, motion control, and temperature control into designs.

NOVO uses Altium Designer as its primary in-house ECAD tool, though the team is experienced with many other industry standard tools from vendors such as Cadence (ORCAD) and Mentor Graphics.
